Quick Reference

Fill in one box. A flight time gives you the start fuel it needs; a start fuel gives you how long it lasts. The box the plan is being read from is outlined. Fuel wins if you fill in both β€” a tank reading is fact, a planned time is an intention, and the overruled box is dimmed rather than erased.

STOP is always the aircraft on its minimum fuel (β€” L, shown in red) β€” the lightest and most capable it gets on the leg. That is why trip fuel needs no column: it is always start minus minimum. Burn is time Γ— fuel flow (β€” L/min).

Figures the tool worked out for you are shown in orange; the one you typed stays white. Your maximum load is the lowest figure that applies β€” carrying inside, read INTERNAL against PERF; slinging, read EXTERNAL against PERF. INTERNAL and EXTERNAL are the airframe's structural limits; PERF is what the engine can lift at the altitude and temperature you set. On most aircraft PERF is the lower one, but on a 2 500 kg machine such as LN-OSM the EXTERNAL limit usually is, so read across rather than assuming. HESLO 4 = performance capacity minus 10%.

Fuel & Lift per leg

FROM/TO is offset half a row on purpose. A waypoint is the boundary between two legs, so it sits between them rather than inside either one β€” leg 1 runs from the box above it to the box below. These are the same boxes as FROM / TO on the ATC tab: type a place name in either and it appears in both.

Enter fuel remaining at the start of each leg (FUEL β†’ NEW), or it carries from the previous leg minus the trip burn (use ADD when you refuel). MAX LIFT @ START = at the heaviest point (full fuel); MAX LIFT @ STOP = after the leg's burn (lightest). Each shows three limits: INT internal structural, EXT external structural, and PERF the craft's performance/power limit (from the selected altitude & temperature). Your actual max load is the lowest of the relevant columns. Blue-bordered cells are inputs; grey cells are calculated; red means over a limit.

Hide lift columns folds MAX LIFT and TRIP FUEL away so you can read the route and fuel chain at a glance. Nothing is lost: a leg that is over any hidden limit still shows a red ! in the narrow column left behind, the trip-fuel total moves into it, and tapping it opens the block again. Printing always includes every column, whichever way you are looking at it.

Navigation Log

Each waypoint sits in its own cell (name, description, coordinates, departure time), offset between the leg rows it joins. FROM / TO and DESCRIPTION belong to the waypoint, not the leg β€” FROM / TO is the same box as the one on the OFP tab, so typing in either place fills both. A GPX import puts each point's desc field into DESCRIPTION. Enter the departure time on the first waypoint; remark, leg time and distance come from the Fuel Plan; arrival times are calculated.

The DEP column shows how the clock runs. Leave a waypoint's departure time blank and the arrival clock rolls straight through it β€” you overflew without landing. Those cells carry a dashed line, which joins up into one continuous line down the column for as long as the clock keeps running. Enter a departure time and that cell turns solid, breaking the line: the clock restarts there and every arrival below is measured from it. Use it after a landing, a load, or any wait on the ground.

Fleet Database

Click a row to edit an aircraft (or delete it). BEM = basic empty mass (used in all weight calculations). The grade letter is a display label only. Perf Max is computed from the Performance chart for the planned temp/altitude and is shared by all aircraft.

Your operator maintains a fleet for everyone in your organization. Restoring it overrides any aircraft here that share a registration, resetting them to the operator's figures, and adds the rest. Aircraft of your own are left untouched and nothing is ever deleted. You do not normally need this β€” changes your operator makes arrive on their own β€” it is here for putting an aircraft back after you have edited it yourself. Needs a connection.

Same grid as above, for aircraft fitted with the performance upgrade. Current plan (Temp β€”Β°C, Alt β€” ft) β†’ β€” kg.

Duty Time Limits

Your operation's duty rules, as five groups: duty and flight hour limits over rolling windows, standby types and the share of standby that counts as duty, rest required after a duty, and start-time windows that reduce the day's allowance. Enter them from your Operations Manual β€” press Edit limits.

A limit marked not shown in the log still binds; it just does not earn a column. The 1-day and 365-day windows are hidden by default for that reason.

Duty Available β€” Today & Next 3 Days

How much duty you can still legally take, using the duty you have actually logged on every day (each day counts exactly as entered). Days you have not yet planned are assumed to be flown to their legal maximum. The tag under each figure is the first limit you would reach that day.

Yellow means a cumulative window is holding you back, not the day itself β€” you have less than a full day's allowance left. A dispensation outline means the figure depends on a dispensation being in force; without it you would have less.

FLIGHT is reported separately, because being out of flight hours does not stop you being on duty.

Daily Duty Log

Enter each day's START and STOP, any standby, and the flight time. DUTY is calculated: elapsed time, less the share of standby that does not count. Type in MANUAL to override the calculated duty β€” whichever of AUTO and MANUAL is in charge is outlined in blue, and the overruled one is struck through rather than erased. Duty and flight times are decimal hours (10.4 = 10 h 24 min), unlike the clock times to their left.

Hover or tap any rolling-window cell to highlight the DUTY cells summed into it (that day plus the older days below it). NEXT START is the earliest you may start again, from this day's stop time and the rest your duty earned. It is a clock time on the following day; a +0 or +2 beside it means the rest expires on some other day, and the full weekday is on the cell's tooltip. A start that breaks the previous day's rest is flagged on the START cell. DISP opens the dispensations granted that day, and βœ• clears the whole day.

Daily Sling Counter β€” HESLO

Log external sling loads day by day. Under each date, add a leg for every flight and enter the number of loads carried in each HESLO class (1–4), plus any remark. The tool totals each class per day and across all days. The row of dates beside + Add day lists every day you have logged, with that day's total loads β€” press one to jump straight to it. The highlighted date is the day you last entered anything on. Everything saves automatically and is included in Export / Import.

Fuel Tank Database (editable)

Click a row to edit a tank / bowser (or delete it, or reset its fuel counter). Fill in Location, Type (e.g. size), Reg and Rmk. Total is the tank's full capacity; Remain counts down as you log refuellings drawn from it below. These tanks appear as choices when you log a refuelling.

Refuelling Log

Log refuellings day by day. Under each date, add a refuelling for every fill: pick the tank drawn from, and enter the meter start and stop readings (LITERS (START-STOP) = stop βˆ’ start). If you don't have meter readings, type litres straight into LITERS (manual), which overrides the calculation. USED is the litres counted for that refuelling. At the end of each day the tool summarises litres drawn per tank. The row of dates beside + Add day lists every day you have logged, with that day's litres β€” press one to jump straight to it. The highlighted date is the day you last entered anything on. Everything saves automatically and is included in Export / Import.

Daily Assignments

Keep the day's jobs in order. Under each date, add an assignment for every job: who it is for (name, phone, company), the location as LZ (where you land) over SITE (where the work is), a description, and any remark. In CHECKLIST, press + Add point to write down what has to be ready before the machine goes, then tick each one off as it is done β€” the count beside the button turns green when the job is fully prepared. SOLD EQUIP records the straps, ratchets and bigbags sold on the job, and each day totals its own. The row of dates beside + Add day lists every day you have logged, with that day's number of assignments β€” press one to jump straight to it. The highlighted date is the day you last entered anything on. Everything saves automatically and is included in Export / Import.

Documents

The paperwork for the day. Under each date, press + Add document to start one of your operator's forms β€” the crew handover to begin with β€” and fill it in. Give it a reference if you are writing more than one that day, so they can be told apart. Boxes save as you type, checklists are ticked by pressing the line, and tables you can add rows to have a + Add row button underneath. The handover's FUEL table fills itself in from your FUEL tab the moment you start the document β€” every tank, with the litres remaining as they stand right then. Correct anything that is wrong and delete the tanks that have nothing to do with this job; what is on the document is yours from then on, and ⟳ From FUEL tab fetches the current figures again if you need them. When it is done, Send as PDF makes a proper PDF of it and hands it to your phone or tablet to send β€” email, WhatsApp, Messages, whatever you normally use. The row of dates beside + Add day lists every day you have documents on, with how many; press one to jump to it. The forms themselves come from your operator and are kept up to date automatically β€” if a form changes, the documents you have already written keep everything you typed in them. Everything saves automatically and is included in Export / Import.

VEMD

The Vehicle and Engine Management Display, drawn as the aircraft draws it. Press an indication β€” N1, TOT, TRQ, the two ENG OIL gauges, or U/BUS β€” and it turns green, with the flight manual's actions for that failure underneath. The figures shown on the screen are the manual's own example readings, not your aircraft: nothing here is live, this is the quick reference, not an instrument. Anything the manual gives no action for (the FLI dial, fuel quantity, OAT, I/GEN, FF, END) is drawn because the screen has it, and does nothing when pressed. Press the same indication again, or Close, to put it away. This tab works with no signal, like the rest of the app.

Caution Warning Panel

Your aircraft's panel, in its own layout β€” only the lights this configuration actually has, in the positions they actually occupy. Press a light and it turns green, with the flight manual's actions for it underneath. Green, and not a brighter yellow or red, on purpose: no lens on the real panel is ever green, so the one you pressed can never be mistaken for one that is genuinely lit. The unlabelled dark cells are the panel's unused positions and do nothing.

GOV appears twice because the panel has two of them and they are different failures β€” the red one is the governor failing over to its emergency mode, the yellow one is the governing function degrading. They have separate procedures. Press the same light again, or Close, to put it away. This tab works with no signal, like the rest of the app.
